Unusual Weather
12/01/2012
From high hedges to high winds — Fife has had more than its share of odd weather recently. My personal experience is not the worst case, but I sympathise with those who have felt the effects of our unusual weather.
After the latest spate of high winds, I joined those across the country who found themselves without electricity, heating or telephone and internet access for a prolonged spell. We will also have to repair our fencing after trees crashed through it and blocked the road!
Despite all the inconvenience, it was encouraging to see our communities pulling together to move the trees and unblock the roads around West Fife. At times like these you really appreciate good neighbours, and I am sure my experience was echoed elsewhere.
