MSP Addresses Dunfermline Soroptimist International on Renewable Energy
The Dunfermline branch of Soroptimist International, a world organisation committed to furthering human rights and women’s status, recently invited their local MSP to address them on renewable energy.
SNP MSP Bill Walker joined the group of around 40 women in the Carnegie Conference Centre, where he discussed present and future developments in the renewable energy sector in Scotland and further afield. Afterwards, President Agnes Allan chaired a lively question and answer session.
Mr Walker said: “I hope Soroptimist International found this evening as informative as I found it enjoyable. I was also very pleased to hear about the current voluntary activities of the Dunfermline Branch and look forward to working with them and helping publicise their commendable work.”
