Carnegie Hall Hosting Packed Autumn Season
20/08/2012
Dunfermline’s Carnegie Hall is set to host an autumn season packed with music, comedy, plays and family entertainment. Visitors to the city centre theatre will enjoy such acts as Indian Takeaway with Hardeep Singh Kohli, Tango! Tango!, The Singing Kettle and Planet Earth’s award-winning cameraman, Doug Allan.
Bill Walker, MSP for Dunfermline, said: “It’s great to see so much quality entertainment coming to the Carnegie Hall, from the famous to lesser-known discoveries.
“The Carnegie Hall is a wonderful venue of which we are justly proud in Dunfermline. It’s very easy to reach by car, train or bus and always has a packed programme.
“It has a very nice restaurant, Tiffany’s, popular with theatre-goers and non-theatre-goers alike, and there’s also the adjacent Music Institute, which can be used by local organisations such as children’s groups and those involved in the arts.
“The Carnegie Hall looks set for an excellent autumn season, and I hope visitors have an entertaining time.”
Mr Walker added: “There are now lots of options for people spending an evening in Dunfermline. Entertainment venues include the Carnegie Hall, the Alhambra and the Odeon. There are also lots of restaurants and pubs, from the long-established to newer venues such as the Green Room, Reuben’s Wine Bar and the Guildhall and Linen Exchange.
“Many businesses and individuals are working hard to promote Dunfermline and make it an even better place for residents and visitors.”
