Post Office Committed to Culross Services

The Post Office has affirmed its commitment to restoring services in Culross. Responding to an enquiry by Dunfermline MSP Bill Walker, the National Consultation Team advised that a search is underway for suitable new premises.

Mr Walker said: “Culross residents have been without a branch for some weeks following the resignation of the postmaster and withdrawal of the premises.

“Several constituents have contacted me regarding their concerns. Post Offices are a vital hub of the community, and the closure of the Culross service means residents have to travel into Dunfermline and elsewhere to access the services they rely on.

“The Post Office has reassured me that they understand the difficulties Culross residents are facing, particularly the more vulnerable members of the community.

“They are actively seeking a new partner to provide premises and operate a Post Office service. Interested parties who haven’t yet contacted them should call the Agency Recruitment team on 0845 601 6260.

“They have said they will keep me advised of future developments.”

Customers with concerns can call the national helpline on 08457 22 33 44 or email the National Consultation Team at consultation@postoffice.co.uk.
