Dunfermline Golf Club heritage boost

Local MSP Bill Walker has welcomed a £10,000 Heritage Lottery Fund award for Dunfermline Golf Club to create a Heritage Wall.

The year-long project will focus on the history of the club, which was founded in 1887 and moved to Pitfirrane in 1953, and its A-listed club house. The club’s archive collection will be organised and scanned to create a digital archive, for display on the club’s website and on a Heritage Wall inside the club house.

Mr Walker said: “Congratulations to Dunfermline Golf Club on this funding for their project. The club is one of Fife’s many excellent choices for golfers and has a very rich history. Read more of this post
