Carnock Community Council Awarded £75,000 for Play Facilities

MSP Bill Walker has praised a West Fife group for bringing valuable resources to their community during difficult economic times, after its initiative was rewarded with a grant of almost £75,000.
Carnock Community Council will use the grant to provide child-friendly play equipment  for Carnock Play Park.
Mr Walker, SNP MSP for Dunfermline, said:
“Congratulations to Carnock Community Council on receiving this substantial funding.
“This grant shows that people who are prepared to contribute their time can bring valuable resources to their local areas and make a real difference. They can make their communities even better places to live.
“Funding is available to encourage community projects. LEADER, who made this award to Carnock Community Council, offers grants for local projects that preferably display some originality or experimentation and that complement other activities within the local development strategy.
“I would encourage other voluntary groups to apply for funding, and I wish Carnock Community Council every success with their project.”
