Dream Funding of Up to £100,000 for Local Organisations and Charities
10/08/2012
Local MSP Bill Walker has welcomed news that community and charitable organisations in Dunfermline could benefit from funding of up to £100,000, thanks to the Dream Fund.
Now in its third year, the project is funded entirely by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery. Monies are re-invested back into the community from which they originated.
Dunfermline MSP Mr Walker said: “The Dream Fund gives local organisations an excellent opportunity to get their projects off the ground. It has already benefitted communities across Scotland.
“This year there is a £400,000 funding pot for projects of 12 months or less that benefit the local community. In particular, the Dream Fund is interested in projects that encourage active living, bring communities together, tackle climate change and expand life opportunities.
“This is a great chance for voluntary and community groups to work together with charities in accomplishing their shared goals.
“The closing date for applications is 31st October 2012, and I would encourage voluntary and local organisations to find out more information at www.postcodetrust.org.uk/dream-fund.”
