To ask the Scottish Government whether it would, in an independent Scotland, consider ringfencing a proportion of taxes raised through vehicle excise duty, petrol and diesel for new roads and road maintenance.

Transport Scotland has released information detailing how winter service is delivered on the trunk road and motorway network. The “Winter Preparedness Roads Information Sheet” also outlines the intelligence gathering and decision-making processes, contains information on the innovative technology Transport Scotland uses, and provides links to online resources that can help people plan their journeys.
