S4M-02271: Saline First Responders
13/03/2012
That the Parliament congratulates the Saline First Responder scheme, which was set up to provide emergency medical assistance to people in West Fife villages while ambulance crews are en route; notes that, since commencing with two volunteers on 29 September 2011, the scheme now has 14 volunteers who are trained and a further five awaiting training; considers the service it provides to Saline, Blairhall, Comrie, Oakley, Carnock, Gowkhall, Steelend and outlying farms to be excellent; believes that the scheme has the potential to save lives through rapid assistance, and wishes it success in its recruitment drive for more volunteers and fundraisers.
