S4M-02310: Woodmill High School Big Lottery Award
13/03/2012
That the Parliament congratulates Woodmill High School in Dunfermline on receiving £6,208 from the Big Lottery Fund, which will be used to hold the pupils’ very own Olympic Games later in 2012; understands that the school will run a programme of sports and activities for primary seven children from across eight schools, which will culminate in a four-day Olympic event; applauds Woodmill High School’s aim of encouraging children to be more active and to take part in new sports, and considers the events an innovative way of helping primary seven children make the transition from primary school to high school through joint participation with first-year secondary pupils in sports.
