Complementary therapy cancer charity awarded Big Lottery funding

Big Lottery FundCircle of Comfort has received a £9,990 Awards for All grant from the Big Lottery Fund.

The award will help the Dunfermline-based charity to provide complementary therapies to diagnosed cancer patients, either in their own home or in hospital.  The charity offers therapeutic massage, aromatherapy and reflexology, conducted by fully qualified therapists, free of charge.

Bill Walker, MSP for Dunfermline, said: “Congratulations to Circle of Comfort for their well-deserved grant.  They offer a truly unique and beneficial service to cancer patients throughout Fife, and I am delighted to see their work being supported by the Big Lottery Fund.

“They are a great example to other local groups, who should be encouraged to apply for Lottery funding”.

Awards for All gives Lottery money back to the community by assisting projects which improve health, education and the environment.  Circle of Comfort was awarded their grant for meeting the Awards for All outcome of “people and communities are healthier”.
